A Little Disney Magic on the Dance Floor: Our Salsa & Bachata Party 2026!
Who says fairy tales only happen in the movies? In June 2026, we brought a little Disney magic to the dance floor for one of our R&M Latin Dance themed Salsa & Bachata parties!
It was a night to step away from the usual routine, get dressed up, enjoy some great music and, most importantly, dance!
As you'll know R&M loves to take any chance to dress up and to party! Our Disney theme gave everyone the chance to bring a little imagination and personality to the evening to come as their favourite characters, from Snow White, Cruella all the way to Star wars and the Little Mermaid. It was a chance to enjoy something different and share the experience with our dance community. Of course, the real magic happened on the dance floor!
With Salsa and Bachata bringing everyone together, the night was filled with music, partner dancing, laughter and plenty of opportunities to practise everything we've been learning in class. Whether you were showing off your latest moves, dancing with familiar faces or simply enjoying the music, there was something special about seeing everyone come together outside the classroom.
Best Dressed Award
As usual, we offer the best dressed award, this time our we had some very creative costumes including, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, Jack Sparrow and his crew of pirates, some mermaids, Jungle Book animals, Cruellas, Princesses and a few Prince Charmings! Our hosts Rhi and Mariano came as Jessica Rabbit and the Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!
Why a Disney Party Theme?
Disney is creative, Disney is fun and everyone has a favourite Disney character! Disney brings back memories, familiar stories and a bit of nostalgia with a big emphasis on family which is also what R&M is about. Whether you went for a classic princess, a legendary villain or a character from your favourite childhood film, the idea was simple: have fun with it, leave the everyday routine behind and let your imagination take over for the night!
One of the things we love most about organising these events is watching friendships grow beyond the weekly classes. People who might have arrived as complete strangers when they first started dancing are now sharing dance floors, making memories and becoming part of a community - and that's what R&M is all about!
We don't just want to teach you steps and combinations. We want to create opportunities to enjoy dancing, meet people, build confidence and experience everything that comes with being part of a Latin dance community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our Disney Salsa & Bachata Party 2026 such a special occasion.
Until the next party… keep dancing, keep smiling and never lose a little bit of that Disney magic! ✨ Check the gallery of our students from the party - they really made an effort with their favourite characters!
